As a licensed Professional Counselor in both Kansas and Missouri, Stacy has had experience in a variety of settings.
Although the bulk of Stacy’s career has focused on working with those experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, self-harming and behavioral issues, she is also adept at dealing with stress, life transitions, conflict resolution and coping.
Stacy uses various therapeutic modalities to respectfully connect with children, adolescents and adults based on the needs of each individual. She collaborates closely with parents when working with children and teens because an individual’s daily environment is vital to healing. The modalities she uses include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Neurofeedback, Narrative Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
Stacy pursued additional training because she considers it a necessity to provide the best treatment available. While becoming trained in EMDR, Stacy’s interest in learning more about the physiological effects of trauma on the brain heightened. Thus began her exploration of the benefits of Neurofeedback and its non-invasive, self-healing power to balance dysregulation in the brain. Stacy enjoys the opportunity to provide a variety of cutting-edge techniques in pursuit of emotional regulation without the need to add or increase medication, especially in young and developing brains.
