Julie Pieri, LSCSW, LCSW

Julie has a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas

Julie’s varied work history and desire to help others led her here. She obtained a Master’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas and subsequent clinical licensure in Kansas and Missouri. This adventure came after working as a cosmetologist, Veterinary technician, and chemist. As a KC native, Julie has enjoyed providing compassionate, motivational, and innovative interventions to all age groups for many years. Before she arrived at Midwest Neurofeedback, Julie utilized neurofeedback to improve the lives of adolescents in mental health inpatient settings. Julie’s foray into neurofeedback confirmed her sense of the “perfect fit” for her diversified career history. She feels neurofeedback is the ideal synthesis of science and therapy. In addition to neurofeedback, Julie is experienced with EMDR and DBT, enhancing her ability to alleviate trauma, facilitate change and improve lives.

With nearly twenty years of experience working in the social services field, her direct approach using evidence-based practice and behavioral techniques facilitates individuals in identifying and solving problems to improve their quality of life. Snowball fights, nature walks, and logic puzzles, her favorites, indicate the breadth of her skills and interests. In her downtime, Julie spends time with her family, including five grandchildren, her cat, and her dog.
